If teachers are forced to spend little time on the other developmental competency areas you would hope the penny would drop re the impact this is likely to have on literacy/mathematical areas.
I wonder what we were doing before our literacy levels dropped?
You’ve got to say that we’ve had a pretty poor return on the high standards, no excuses, academic excellence, data driven approach that’s dominated education for the last decade or so.
