I don’t think you’re going to persuade them with facts.
Nor will you do it with persuasion.
Appealing to reason won’t do it.
And making them do it until they convert isn’t how it’ll happen, either.
Forget all that.
Make sure you believe in what you’re doing. Just do the best job you can. It’ll work. Become an example. People will notice. Some will be drawn, some not.
Respect both. Work with some.
Trouble is, too many adults in schools are so busy fighting pedagogy battles they’ve lost focus. That’s how learning goes bad for kids, no matter the approach.
What kids need are adults doing their best, not adults torn to pieces competing with each other over who and what is best.
